Well, I don't think Yokai will sell like Pokemon did at launch, nor like Mario did when it launched. I am saying it (I think) will sell like Mario and Pokemon sell NOW when they launch. Yokai can easily get 5 mil world wide, if not up to 15 mil I think.

I don't see that happening at all tbh the's one problem with that, when Pokemon launched the was one thing missing from all of gaming that Yokai has to deal with, Pokemon itself, the was no other franchise like it when it launched back then so that added to the fascination over it. Yokai has the issue of Pokemon's existence being a dominant force, I can see a luke warm reception at best in the west and the real test begins afterward as many similar type of games have just disappeared after their debut titles in the west relegating them to mere cameos.

Pokemon's era was also heavily driven by a yet unmatched rise in interests in anime at the time in the west as well with Dragon Ball and Pokemon leading the charge.

You may have a point, except for the fact that in Japan Yokai is selling at Pokemon levels (I believe), which COULD be an indication of how it will sell globally. Alas, we will know when the charts catch up and it releases :)
