It used to be the case that PC games were hard to get playing right but that was during the 90s. Hell, I remember having trouble playing Diablo 1 even though my CPU met the required specs. My parents had to have someone from church over to finally sort things out on why it wasn't working. The only problem I have now is trying to install old games like Diablo 1 on my current PC. The graphics are messed up or the videos don't play right in game. Never had a problem with a Steam game though. So he was right about PC being a pain in the ass but that was about two decades ago.
