The single most overrated game of all time vs. 2.5 great games (and a Vita one, which I've heard is good enough). I think Uncharted takes it here. Not to say TLoU isn't good, but when I can predict every single plot twist while yawning, the story probably isn't as good or revolutionary as people like to think. I mean I avoided every detail about the game for a year after it launched to give it a true, non-hype opinion and it was just good. Had the AI been good, like Naughty Dog said it would be during the E3 demos, it could've been really, really good, but instead it's a game where you take advantage of unrealistic and stupid enemies. (Which, again, would be fine, if the game weren't going for that hyper-realistic style.)

And what "twists" would that be? The Last of Us has a simple straight forward story. They don't even try to surprise you with anything you couldn't see a mile in advance. They provide you with a world and information about it to figure everything out yourself as you go.

That is what makes it superior to something like Bioshock Infinite for example, where they keep vital information from you until the very end just to reveal the big twist.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
