As for Danganronpa. I think it's as much an attempt at expanding their audience, particularly in the West. It's quite clear now great Vita exclusives just disappoint people because they can't play them (buy a Vita? But they cost 10x more than a 3DS with memory cards you need a mortgage to buy and there are no games worth playing)

Haha.  I realised during TGS how much this has been happening and how crappy it is.  Originally it was "Why are they releasing this on Vita?  It's a dead platform" (which helped contribute to it becoming a dead platform, oddly).  Now the rhetoric seems to be "Vita version of this PS4 game?  I wish devs wouldn't do this.  The Vita version is just holding it back!"

Yeah, because everything is going to be an AAA PS4 game from Japan, right?

If it doesn't set the charts alight (and part of me hopes it doesn't, because as freedom wars shows, saying on forums petitions etc you want something and will buy it, and actually doing so are 2 different things) it could be more the exclusives they put on Vita hadnt got any real appeal anyway.

I completely understand where you're coming from with this.  I've thought it too in the past.  But honestly, I enjoy Gravity Rush & Tearaway too much to want to see them fail (even though Tearaway already has, it seemed).  Vita's fate is set in stone at this point whether or not they do well; PS4 bombs isn't going to make Sony suddenly realise they made a mistake and change their minds.  If anything, it's just going to scare them off doing anything other than shootbang western games.
