It isn't weird though. His analogies that he made in the video are completely false. For instance, the barney and teletubbies analogy is completely ridiculous. People like me prefer Nintendo games because of the level of polish and care that goes into every project. If barney were considered some kind of masterpiece of art or television, then you would have grown men who are fans. We Nintendo fans are not addicted to games that teach you how to count and shit, we like games that are actually GOOD. So broken games needs to get the fuck out of here with that shit, and if you agree with that point there, then you obviously haven't thought about it enough. He is just flat out wrong about that analogy.

Also, I'd like to mention something else. What does he consider a kid game? Are games like mario and Splatoon for kids? Yes, I think kids can enjoy them, but that doesn't mean they are exclusively for them. Look at call of duty. Kids fucking love that game. Look at the game he is playing in the very video he is talking about this.. that is content that appeals to children, and don't try to tell me it isn't because I tutor math to elementry school kids at a place called mathnasium and they love that stuff. A lot of them have heard of splatoon, and I can tell you from experience that it doesn't seem to be something that they are interested in a whole lot.

So basically, what games are for kids needs to be reevaluated. And anybody who thinks this guy's points are solid really needs to think about why people actually like Nintendo games. If you can't figure it out, then you are quite out of touch
