Yikes, you think we won't hear about it until October? I was hoping a little sooner than that. Maybe September. Did they say anything to suggest a time period other than 'later this year'? I don't recall.
I was also thinking we probably wouldn't get any details on NX until March or April. Either GDC or an investor's meeting. Could be January though, they have an investors meeting then too.
Konno has been directly involved in the development of every Mario Kart game to date. If he is too busy to do that then either that team is making something else (something low maintenance) or they have assigned someone new to the role. It would be like Aonuma being given that job without a successor being identified for Zelda.
