I think a decent proportion of TLOUR sales were to PS3 owners who didn't buy it on PS3 and waited to buy it on PS4, once they knew it was coming to PS4. This is a consequence of the fact that TLOU came out the same year as PS4 launched. By contrast there will be very few former PS3 owners and now PS4 owners who never played Uncharted on PS3 and are likely to pick up the trilogy now on PS4. So UC trilogy sales will be almost entirely dependant on PS4 owners who never owned a PS3, or didn't own one long enough to get around to playing Uncharted.

So I think the market potential for UCT is lower than the market potential for TLOUR. The question is whether UCT can grab a higher proportion of this smaller market compared to TLOUR's market. I think possibly not. But I think releasing UCT in advance of UC4 is a very sensible thing to do given there are a lot of UC virgins who own PS4 and to maximise sales of UC4 to the UC virgins giving them some UC foreplay with UCT is defintiely the way to go. So even if it sells fairly low numbers, like 1 million, it is a worthwhile investment.

yeah im one of those, and i agree with you i also belive TLOU will do better than the UC collection.
