If he is using a browser formated to show the site in mobile form it won't appear most of the time (sometimes it does appear because it sucks this hard in the mobile version), but if he is using a browser to display a desktop format, it'll.

I use this site mainly on mobile, like 9/10 of the time right now, and I have two browsers, one to display normal mobile format, that loads faster, and one that I switched to display desktop format (Dolphin).

So even if he uses mainly in his phone like me he can make use of it too.
