Everyone knows Nintendo doesn't have stacks of money, instead they have a ton of DS, DS Lites and DSI's which print them all the money they need.
OP: They're probably ( as some users have said ) trying to maximise profits. Same with he Wii which up to this same period of time, still didn't get a price cut.
