I personally never had doubts on the technical quality of Halo 5, that's not what I worry about with regards to what MCC means for Halo. Rather, I am concerned with the damage the brand took from the blunder. I mean, MCC was a debacle of epic proportions that was the punchline of the entire industry for over a month. That's not good for the image of Halo.
