Well the thing with AA2 is that at the beginning, it will seem pretty basic but it really starts to shine when you have a bunch of girls and guys with various traites and stuff and u play it as the weeks go by cause a lot of stuff that u didn't expect would happen. But yea, the game is however, mainly focused on the customizations and stuff elements but it does have some neat stuff if u try to look into it. Like for example, your "harsh" character! Most likely the reason why u couldn't do her (unless her traits are like super high virtue and max homo and u are a guy) is that you were selecting the wrong things at the wrong time. With a character like that, her tone is more much important then what she is saying and what the background music is playing! So if her tone sounds like she is sad or she is happy or she is lewd, you have to respond according and normal responses, while it may look like it works, it actually doesn't due to that characteristic!
