To be fair, I think it's because I was such a fanboy of the original games. When 4 was announced, I was hyped. Then, I started to play it and was disappointed to the extreme... 
I still have yet to beat the game. I've watched my siblings beat it countless times so I know how it ends but I could never bring myself to care enough to play it again.
