Well, I kind of agree with the premise of this post, though I don't 'hate' it, it's still weird that you still played through it three times.

Personally I can't even bring myself to finish it once. And I want to finish it. I had two serious attempts where I played the game for a couple days stretched out over a couple weeks in a row and progressed a good deal, but then I stopped again. The gameplay is just too boring, repetitive, simple, slow and sluggish. I agree it's vastly overrated and the press going apeshit over it, especially with the Remaster, was embarrassing to witness.

It's very unlikely I'll get a hypothetical sequel, because of this. Definitely not one with the same characters and environment, because I fell their story should be a stand-alone experience, it would be lame and would break the game's believability.

Still, the game has a good story, good character development and is very beautiful with excellent cinematography. It's obvious Naughty Dog put their usual quality assurance to work with this game.
