If you want to enable the Sony gloating due to the gloating of a few seven years ago then I'd suggest aquiring the use of therapy because really it's useless, angers people and creates a never ending cycle of childishness, I was glad to have realised that halfway through last gen and become a multiplatform gamer, having no allegiance to a single platform or group of people feels great.

So now that the shoe is on the other foot, it's "2 wrongs don't make a right!" It's not meaningless when there's constant backtracking from both respective giants camps going back to the past to prove their points. Don't make it seem like it's just PlayStation. Xbox gamers do this as well.

 

I've always been a multiplat gamer. I play the games, not the consoles. However, I was calling b.s. on this one. There were plenty of Xbox gloating threads here (although I wasn't a member, I was a lurker then). It was horrendous. Both Sony and Microsoft have annoying extremists. Not one more than the other.

Oh and you do this to every "gloat" thread in existence?, me thinks you don't hold your word 100% because it's natural to think one thread isn't a gloat and the other is, only now do you say both camps do the sdame, why did you not make that claim in the first reply, why now when you knew already?, it still doesn't defeat the eye for an eye saying, especially with pulling the shoe on the other foot.

And yes I can agree that both sides have annoying extremists but so far as the current trend is showing that Sony fans are only doing this as a result of last gens treatment, it shows poor form when it's repeated over and over, if you don't like it like I don't why aren't you stepping in every time it happens?.

I lurked here before myself, I like to keep tabs on peoples posts and form a "profile" of how they would perform (some psychiatrists also "profile" their patients or soon to be patients to get an understanding of them which is in relation to what I do on a daily basis in order to find trends and ones that divert and show behaviour patterns) from thread to thread and right now brand loyalty and quantity seems to drive people to retaliate against those who do not share the same opinion on either, like you I game where games are that interest me, I shouldn't have to pull a list war type thread to let people know what I have and what others don't because I know very well what becomes of such a thread (gloating, downplaying, calling others salty, berating those that don't stand or share the same opinion) and it;s why I prefer compiling my own game title lists for myself so I can see what choices I can go for without showing anyone and using it to belittle others.

But as of right now you're telling me Xbox had lots of major gloat threads last gen, only now do you say Sony does the same, may I ask one last time why you pointed that out now rather than at first, I ask this because I feel you don't see Sony fans really doing anything as bad, almost like you feel the scales don't weigh in the same.

First off, stop with the whole trying to sound intricate. Just say what you have to say. You did it in your first reply as well. Not sure if you were being facetious or not. You sounded like the Mad Hatter!

Now on to your reply. I have ALWAYS said that both camps do this. ALWAYS!! I didn't read all of the posts. I read the OP and that page, then went to the very last page. On that last page, your post was the one that stood out acting as if one company act this way....and the other doesn't. You ask why I didn't make that statement in the first reply...simple, I was directly countering what you generalized about Sony "gloating" threads.  Question, why didn't YOU just make a general statement about both camps doing so instead of singling out one of them? It makes you look partial.

Whether you believe Sony gamers are behaving this way because of their treatment from last generation or not is irrelevant. The point of my reply to you is that Microsoft gamers are just as bad as Sony gamers when it comes to gloating and such. To say one is worse than the other further proves bias and makes you look less credible to debate/discuss this issue with.  I "stepped" in here when I saw your post. I don't see it for every post. However if it makes you feel better, I have made the same posts to Sony gamers who says ridiculous things because they're ahead and other things. Again, I don't play the consoles...I play the games.

Console loyalty is dumb to me. Then again, you won't hear me tell someone else that does support console loyalty that their dumb for sticking to one console. It's their prerrogative. It's where I hear non-sense from these camps, sometimes, is where I may chime in.  You can't stop downplaying and such from everyone, but if you (Chazore) say that you are impartial...then again I ask you, why did you single out one and not generalize? I normally generalize when I make a statement. Not saying that you're wrong for what you said. I just felt the need to counter it because in this scenario it's just not all that true. Others are doing it as well.

My second post to you clearly does say that they are both guilty of it. Like I told you, my first reply to you was just a counter. Not me choosing a side. There are a couple of us on these forums that don't root for anyone but the games! I won't do nameflips, but they know who they are. I definitely belileve Sony is as bad as everyone else is. No more, no less! I haven't shown any bias with my replies to you.
