#36 - Super Castlevania IV
To me, the best of the side-scrolling Castlevanias. Simon Belmont is back and he's learned to whip in all directions now! This game (as many SNES games) has a wonderful sountrack full of classics from the NES games and new haunting tune. The gameplay is solid, the levels hard and unforgiving, the bosses challenging. There's plenty of variety in locations, sub weapons are a bit useless but who cares when you can swing your whip around like a madman?
