just to say to all people saying it is too late :
remember,
1/ PS3 is targeted for hardcore but PS3 is also 400$, a lot too expensive for the average casual. Sony will take some time before targetting the casual crowd.
2/ the PS3 is a Playstation, and like the Wii, it sell by itself and since casual are sensible to the hype and the brandname, LATER, when the price will go down (250$ ?), the PS3 should be able to sell to casual.
3/ we still dont know if Sony will push the new controller as Hell or just release it as an optional feature (like a headset/EyeToy for example).
4/ As everybody stated, without the Wii, Sony would have NOT (EDITED) released this motion sensing controller.
