Just from what I've seen from my area, and this is all anecdotal ...
Smash software + Amiibo sales were quite good ... Wii U hardware sales ... not so much. Looked like they had only moved 1 or 2 systems at my local Best Buy out of a giant pile of Mario 3D World bundles.
But about 60% of the amiibo section was pretty much picked apart, so that's good.
