Hmm, financial disaster like no other for MS. I am thinking you have no clue about how MS operates or even the amount of products they have failed with. Could you find me any evidence where MS was even close to closing down the the Xbox division. Really, making stuff up to support your opinion is never a good ground to stand on.
As for spinning, not sure what industry you work in but are you telling me that companies like MS and Sony do not position products or care about market share more then immediate profits. Yes, at the end of the day corporations need to make profits but they also need products that postion them for future growth.
So tell me why would Sony keep their TV division if it has lost them money for years?
