Teslagrad (Wii U) - 7.5/10

I think the game has real charm, and the puzzles can be quite inventive and fun to go through. Unfortunately, they're also really frustrating at times, and the frustration doesn't always feel rewarding. Also, boss design is either hit or miss.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS - 8/10

It's Smash Bros. on a handheld. The experience is fun and the game itself feels really good, but it feels limited because 1) the 3DS is not the best control scheme at all, 2) the modes feel very small/bite-sized, which is something I don't always want, and 3) playing Smash Bros. on a small screen sucks in comparison to a large TV screen. Definitely waiting for the Wii U version.

Hyrule Warriors (Wii U) - 7/10

The Dynasty Warriors style of gameplay has always interested me as it feels good to mow down a bunch of baddies at once. However, I honestly don't give a crap about the universes they're set in (not much of a Romance of the 3 Kingdoms/Sengoku period history buff). The Zelda universe actually gets rid of that concern I have with Warriors games because I love Zelda. They did make a lot of refinements to the core gameplay too, such as more movement options and more engaging generals/officer type enemies. That said, it's obviously repetitive, and the giant boss designs aren't very well done at all.
