Shadow of Mordor - Limited Edition £49.99

After the good reviews I was looking forward to this game, but having played it for a while dont think it was that deserving of the high scores it got. The nemesis system is the only part of the game which offers something new and keeps the game interesting. The locations seem boring, usually just grassy or dirty plains with a few scattered destroyed buildings around. If the nemesis system was not in the game, I would say it was a very poor game overall.

Alien Isolation - Ripley Edition £44.99

I love the look and feel of the game, being true to the source material, and seeing that Alien slither out of a vent for the first time sent shivers down my spine. However the is not without faults and it can feel like one of the most unfair game I have played to date. The times I have died where I didnt really do anything wrong, and had no chance to save myself make it quite a punishing game. The Alien which you spend all your time avoiding and hiding from doesnt follow a set path like usual AI so you never know where he is going to go or what he is going to do next, making avoiding him or hiding from him very difficult and unpredictable. This can sometimes have the effect of making the game feel like a chore to play and take away some of the enjoyment.

The Evil WIthin - Limited Edition £49.99

Only had an hour on it so far, but looks interesting and hope to put more time on it today. The main character looks a bit 'stiff' sometimes (particulary when running) and I dont have a cluie what is going on, but with more play time hopefully the story will start to make more sense.

7.5/10 (but that might change after I put more time into it)
