One reason probably is, if you've noticed, Wii U VC titles are not merely straight ports. They add several features, such as higher resolution/scan/whatever, better state saving ability, the ability to set your controls/buttons for each game, etc.

That alone makes it a bit extra work, I'd imagine. I agree they need to put TG16 and Sega systems on there, at least. However, when asked about it, Sega didn't, for whatever stupid reason, seem to be in any hurry to do so, as they "currently had no plans" to put Genesis or Master System games on Wii U. And in that sense, it's all up to Sega. In fact, it's all up to every third party company, outside of Nintendo's hands. The only games Nintendo really controls on whether or not we get them for Wii U, is their own.

And I am still waiting for some GBA games I want, Harmony of Dissonance, Mario Kart, Zero Mission, Mario Advance 1. But I trust/hope we'll eventually get those, even though CV is totally up to Konami, and they do suck these days......
