OP this movie is intentionally bad. It's so bad its good, which is a point he tried to make about E.T. the game. It was likely inspired by other flicks like The Toxic Avenger or the movie called Troll 2 which is considered to be one of if not the worst movie of all time and is loved and iconic because it is so bad.
