No offense, but that's kind of nonsense. All art forms recieve criticism based on supposed or intentonial societal implications, and have for centuries. The fact that games are being held to that standard actually helps validate them as an artform, since something that has no real artistic merit can't be viewed with a critical eye. Games are not immune to cultural criticism just because gamers want them to be, and they shouldn't be. They don't exist in a vaccuum.
