I feel many people on this website and other websites who don't want to see the Xbox One do well is trying to spread negativity about the Xbox One In hopes that the Playstation 4 will be the outright winner this gen.  I got a news flash for you that won't happen because Microsoft will do almost anything to make the Xbox One just as successful as the Xbox 360 is. Last generation it was basically a tie between the Xbox One and the Playstation 3.

Sony went from 75% market share with Playstation 2 to less than 30% with the Playstation 3. Sony lost a lot of Market share to Microsoft and many people didn't like that.  If people feel that Sony is going to come back and get back 75% market share. They are going to be very  disappointed. Microsoft and their Xbox One will prevent that from happenning and there is nothing Sony can do about it.

The Xbox is here to stay and the Xbox One will do just fine like I have been saying for months now. People need to stop spelling doom and gloom just because they want to see a gaming machine fail. It makes you look really bad.

At this point, it isn't that you're saying the Xbox One would do well that is drawing a lot of, er, criticism, it's that your prediction has no real basis or reason to be made quite this early. Like, at all. The situation as it currently stands is;

1) Xbox One still looking to be steadily outsold by PS4 in the U.S.

2) Xbox One getting obliterated in Europe, bringing global ratio between the two as high as 2:1.

3) Xbox One hasn't caught up to the Wii U yet, and might even be getting outsold the last couple of months.

4) Xbox One might not even be selling as well, month by month, as the Xbox 360 did in its first summer, despite ample supply.

5) While an earlier poster did suggest the fact that the CoD bundle is doing poorly might be because CoD buyers are waiting til the last minute, that isn't as likely to explain why Sunset Overdrive is doing even worse. Unless new IP fans are similarly casual, and aren't interested in a bundle that gives them a completely free game. So short of an extreme pick-up in sales towards the end, the bundles don't seem likely to move many units, and the Destiny bundle looks primed to outclass both of them, possibly even combined.

Now, can things change? Absolutely. But you're not waiting for them to change. Rather than make the prediction when the Xbox One has done, well, anything positive, such as win a single NPD, or catch up to the PS4 in the U.S. for at least a little while, or even surpass the Wii U globally, you're making the prediction at a time it has accomplised, literally, no noteworthy sales feats compared to its competitors.

It's like having the British knock down your walls, destroy your cannons, drive you and your three soldiers into your stronghold, everything's on fire, only for you to say; "Not a problem, we will STILL kick all three hundred of their asses!" Sure, anything can happen. All three hundred might suffer from a sudden, radical outbreak of scarlet fever and drop dead. The cavalry might come charging over the hill. But that's all stuff that might happen, with no guarantee of success or if it will even be enough to turn the tide.

As for 'Anything can happen,' well, maybe Sony WILL get back seventy-five percent marketshare. You said it yourself! Things change! Anything can happen! Meaning that can happen too, right! :3
