I don't think you realize how much 1.5M in ONE DAY is... 

Also, Sony would have bragged about it, and/or Naughty Dog would have thanked its fans.

As much as I want it to have sold 1.5M day one, I know it's just not possible. Especially so early in this gen. 1.5M in its first week would already be a huge number (as big as Watch_Dog's first week) for a remaster.
