ISIS is killing anybody who isn't Sunni. 

I'm not sure if all countries funded them but maybe you're right. Qatar and Saudi have openly said they are funding them to fight Assad. Not sure about Kuwait or the UAE though. 

my personal problem with this is identidying a proper source - on the link below a supposed expert (Gunter Meyer) seems very convinced :

hmm, maybe that is right. I heard the UAE began deporting people a few years ago on the basis of being Shia so clearly they have the same thinking as the Saudi's and Qataris. I'm not sure about Kuwait though since there is a Shia political party there and a sizeable Shiite population.
