Consoles would benefit at running games 720p instead of 1080p.

It was bad enough putting up with it on the PS3, but i could accept it as a necessary compromise for hardware designed 200 years before my birth. If 720p became the standard for the PS4/X1 as well... i think i'd throw my PS4 in a grinder.
