Europe has had it better for a while now, yeah stuff is a bit high in cost but at least they have stuff where in NOA we have 6 items to chose from and they... are pretty pathetic. Japan, don't even bring them in as we know that Japan has the best and will always be the best. Also, how would I exchange it, i mean seriously, I would be an idiot to trust some random guy over a forum or other blog site. The best I would be able to do it trade it with my friends but here's the problem. Most of them are in the exact same boat as me as are probably a hell of a lot of other people. You need to buy games inorder to get gold/platinum status and a lot of people would have bought these games or at least the good to decent ones just to have very slim pickings.

I don't pretend to speak for them, but I'd hazard most of the Europeans would strenuously disagree with you. They don't even get the option of an extra bonus gift.

As for trusting someone on the internet, I've yet to be burned when it comes to folks on this site, and I've run over a half-dozen Secret Santa events which involved literally hundreds of people. Besides, even if you get burned, what do you care? Your extra gift is completely meaningless to you: you lose nothing.

Finally, I guess where we differ is our level of entitlement. I bought my way to Platinum status because there were enough games they offered that I spent the money to play said games. I never once spent a penny solely, primarily, or even partly due to Club Nintendo.  Heck, a large chunk of my coins came from games I downloaded via Club Nintendo, so without those freebies I wouldn't have made Platinum at all.

I reserve the right to be disappointed in the extra goodie of course, human psychology being what it is, but I'm not going to be angry or upset that the year end freebie isn't of much use. If I was, I'd have stopped registering games years ago: I never listened to the Majora's Mask CD, or used my Nintendo Playing Cards, and the calendars are useless to me. But that's alright: I spent money to get games I wanted to play, use some of the points acquired by said purchases to get additional free digital games that I wanted to play, and now I got an additional freebie on top of that, one which didn't cost me a single coin. It's the cherry on my sundae, and even if I don't like it it doesn't spoil my dessert at all.

Your mileage may vary.

There is a simple reason why they would disagree, and that reason is because no matter what happens to them, they have it the worst even though most of the releases that are done, are usually done japan, then Europe, then NoA. You will get the odd release in NoA first. also, they have a wider selection for their Club Nintendo which gives them Sound tracks, game and watch, key chains, comforters/blankets, Wii points cards. but when all NoA gets is a bunch of paper and a limited selection of games but yet... somehow NoA's is better.

It's also not quiet the fact I feel more entitled, it is more the fact that they tell me I win a price for essentially being Loyal to them so here is a bunch of stuff you already own so you're prize is useless to you (it's the same thing for the choice of games they give each month). If there was something I never owned, then i wouldn't care as much as I can actually use this. Yes you may not have been burned / screwed over online but sorry to say, I have 2 out of the 3 times I attempted to trade a code for something else that i could have used.
