I always thought of religion as poor men science. It doesnt go beyond that honestly. Trying to give easy explanation to very complex phenomena without putting much effort into it lol.
It all comes to education. If every kid in the world had grade A education, religion would be a thing of the past.
Religion feeds from ignorance and poverty, i dont know how convenient is that for them. If poverty and ignorance were to be erased religions of the world would have nothing to do!
Hopefully for Religions they have a lot of material to work with
