The same token that people use to argue against separation of church and state would make it very much illegal for the US government to outlaw Christianity or any religion. So unless the government decides to just forget about that whole Constitution thing (more than it already has), or the amendment process is changed to where only the states of Washington and perhaps New York have a voice in what passes, then no, that won't happen.
