Burst Limit was by Dimps and it had a lot of depth to the system itself, but the combo system was rather basic square plus finisher instead of how you'd switch back and forth between punches and kicks to do new combos in the older games. I thought it was overall worse, and it also had a pretty crappy amount of content, like since it was the next gen let's limit what the game had to offer.

Raging Blast 2 by Spike was the best Tenkaichi Dragon Ball Z in terms of gameplay,, but there was no story content in the game. The Universe mode was just premade battle challenges for every character in the game. Considering that every character played very similar outside of them trying to make it so each character can combo into different attacks, it made playing Universe mode pretty boring. Ultimate Tenkaichi was horrible, but would have been great if it used the Raging Blast 2 gameplay with the Ultimate Tenkaichi story which was actually pretty thorough from what I watched.

I played  the demo of the newest DBZ and the game isn't as bad as Ultimate Tenkaichi, but so many bad mechanics.  No wonder Namco Bandai dropped Spike from the series.
