Can't we just be grateful that Type-0 is finally getting a western release? Moving it to the new generation of consoles was probably the only way to renew interest in a PSP game and less risky than releasing it on the Vita.

No we cannot

When you were a child and all you ever wanted was a Pony and then for Christmas your parents get a Pony.........for your sister.

That is what this feels like.

Vita owners made the ruckus FOR the Vita, and we got totally overlooked. Vita owners buy up good games, contrary to what some want you to believe. It would have sold well. For reference, look at FFX/X-2 HD numbers on PS3 vs Vita, a Square Enix game no less.

I am not saying it should be Vita exclusive.... but not even Vita/PS4/XBO? I would bet money that a Vita/PS4 would drastically outperform a PS4/XBO. FF sales were one sided when the twins were neck and neck, whats it gonna be now that PS is double Xbox? This is why it is annoying they totally left Vita owners out in the cold with this one yet again.

Vita owners may buy up good games, but the userbase for the Vita is pathetically small outside of Japan. It makes much more sense for SE to target the Western release of the game on systems that are popular overseas. PS3/360 could've also been a possibility with their large userbases, but the PS4/X1 are the systems that people are buying/will be buying in the future. The Vita is a dead end in the West as the small userbase limits the possible sales for the game. (probably the same reason for lack of a Wii U version)

I consider myself a JP Vita owner (I'm not Japanese, but I own a JP Vita and live in Japan) and if I wanted to play the game, I'd just go for the Vita compatible PSP version. I'm sure other Vita owners have already done the same here.
