I don't think it will be a big difference maker in hardware sales, but it will reap Nintendo a lot of extra profit from their existing fanbase for sure.
I want some more obscure amiibos. Like perhaps Iwata, Sakurai, Miyamoto, and Reggie ones? Club Nintendo rewards? I'd like hardware amiibo trophies too ... NES, SNES, Virtual Boy (!), N64, etc.
Also for Splatoon ... a Mario Sunshine amiibo that lets you put Mario w/water (paint?) pack into the game would be swell.
