Because they've already been proven wrong on two parts, they said it wouldn't hit 1.9m until the end of March next year by the looks of it it'll cross into 2m by the end of next week or two and the logic they employed completely ignored the prospect of new consoles being sold due to the game. The U currently has a much higher attach rate then not only the previous Nintendo platforms but higher then most consoles released and the logic employ by Polygon would mean that the console would have to stop selling altogether for that to happen because if a game like NSMBU can reach over 4m on a 6m userbase then what of MK, by the end of 2015 MK8 may very well have passed DD even though they said worse selling in the series which by the looks of it isn't going to happen.
