As much as i would love a new Wii Sports, i don`t think it really suits the gamepad.
These type of games are great for the Wiimote or Kinect because you can move around freely and mimick something.
So, basically, Nintendo would have to, in order to not confuse people and provide the most ease to use experience, sacrífice one of the controllers - naturally, the gamepad.
Unfortunately, Nintendo hasn`t positioned Wii U as a true sucessor to Wii. So, most likely, people would dismiss it as Wii`s time has passed.
Either wait for Wii U`s rebranding or risk hurting the franchise.
