Two things that jump right away for me:

First, I love the whole "anti-customer policies." Funny how people have a double standard. Those same "anti-customer policies" apply to all software in PCs/Macs/tablet etc. My guess is that people don't mind as much on these because you can always illegally download whatever you want (not on tablets tho but they're not there yet). And how come no one has talked about how the PS4 initial install showing DRM policies too? Hm, go figure fan base.

Second, Kinect has been worth it. Those of us that own a Xbox One have learned that it is actually amazing. Not perfect, but it has changed quite a bit how we interact with our entertainment systems. Sadly, the people that have not used Kinect are also the loudest about not wanting it. Go figure!

Anyway, rant off. Now, let's hear what the other 90% of users on this site say about this article (which mind you, are probably PS fans only). This will be a constructive and unbiased discussion.

Anti-Consumer Policies are anti consumer. Its not a universal issue and truly its only becomes significant in very rare cases. PCs can get away with DRM because they offer enough value to offset the costs. So its not anti consumer because consumers benefit more than they are harmed.

If we want to talk about PS4, as for your unjustified claim of install DRM cannot proven and is just meaningless rumor. Unlike the X1, the PS4 can play games out of the box day 1. The most recent anticonsumer policy on the PS4 was the DriveClub update option, but that issue was solved with 24 hours, as opposed to the months it took MS to change any thing about the X1.

Forcing the Kinect wasn't necessarily Anti Consumer tbh, but it is MS's fault for not justifying the value proposition for it.
