That's an unfair assessment. Many companies listen to thier consumers desires out of necessity or out of preference. Companies simply need to be able to filter out the nonsense from the hidden gems. By filtering out everything, MS generated a lot of ill will, and that bad PR is worth a lot more than numbers.

The 180's they've made are terrible decisions tbh, had they actually listened to consumer complaints they would've realised that the Kinect did not have enough value to warrant its price for example. Now they are forced to remove it to stay competitive when they could've kept it in the box taken the loss and given the Kinect the value it needed to be successful.
