What they should have done is make Kinect so compelling that people want it. MS did listen by removing Kinect but the reason people don't want it is because there is really nothing on it yet that is a must buy. Don't talk about price as people are buying iPhones like hot cakes at even higher prices. While I love the potential of Kinect and I like a Skype session now and then, MS made the mistake of releasing something without any killer app to go with it and people felt they are paying $100 more for something that is useless most of the time.
