No, he just listed 1st party games and said many others that are known for 2014 and 2015. Nintendo is listing eshop indie games for christ's sake, that's pathetic.

How does it appear to be that the console is being sold at a profit? Where did Iwata said that? Not selling at a loss =/= selling at a profit.

That last line is purely subjective and speculative. So vague that it could mean that after this E3 most users will be satisfied, hence the announcement of a new console. See how vague it is? And even the wording or translation is terrible. Being satisfied is different than having enough of something.

...and so you assumed that the "many other games" superchunk referred to meant 1st party only, and you didn't think that he might have meant the third party titles also included in the report. It may be better to wait until he gets back online to clarify.

Secondly, from the report on the Investors Briefing:

"Nintendo not experiencing a loss from hardware any more" - That's either break-even or profit, as I understand it.

Lastly, my statement "All Iwata has said is that there is work on new hardware in the pipeline as there always is, and that they won't be releasing a new console until existing Wii U owners are satisfied. No dates confirmed." was drawn from the following:

Iwata: we are preparing for next generation hardware as always, when will it release? Difficult to declare

"Iwata: we are preparing for the next hardware generation as always, when will it release? Difficult to declare"

"Iwata: not hopeless or at a loss in coming up with something new, but until existing users are satisfied, we cannot release next hardware" All quotes Via nintendoeverything.com

And regardless of the situation, it takes years to develop new hardware anyway; they start work on it pretty early in the lifecycle of the current product, and I'd be surprised if they had anything really good ready before 2017. What is being said here is nothing new.

I'm sure we'll get greater clarification when Nintendo release the details of the meeting in full, so until then, it's pointless deriding other people's interpretations.
