Good.
That's how Sega died; pulling the plug on the struggling Saturn too soon and burning their core fanbase.

It's not just that. SEGA faithfuls supported the Sega CD and they killed that early. They were tricked into buying the 32X and that lasted about a year. These Genesis could have lasted another year or two, but they pulled the plug on that. With the Saturn, SEGA kind of bankrupted themselves and they had to kill that off early, although I still believe that the US and Europe should have gotten Dreamcast before Japan since Saturn sales were still good in Japan.

Yes, so many people who use the Sega analogy don't even know what they're talking about. 32X had a lifespan of like 8 MONTHS before Sega pulled the rug out from under it, so don't compare that to the Wii U, not even close.

Nintendo themselves has ended a very successful system in the GBA in about 3 years and suffered really no blow back from it. As long as the Wii U gets a 2D Mario, a 3D Mario, a DKC, a new Smash Bros., a new Zelda, a new Mario Kart, and then a host of support titles like Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2, Yarn Yoshi, Wii Fit U, Wii Party U, Nintendo Land, Zelda: WWHD, X, etc. then I don't think Nintendo fans have much to complain about.

Honestly by year end, the Wii U will be IMO be pretty close to the matching Nintendo's GameCube output, the main thing left to provide will be a new Zelda game.

You had to know going in that the third party support was likely going to suck as it has for Nintendo consoles for the last 20 years so don't give a sob sad story about that. You knew what you were getting into when buying the thing.
