It is selling, just not really well.
It is now selling at a profit and has many BIG games coming this year alone, thus sales should marginally increase, thus more profits.
Nintendo has never redesigned home consoles until the end very end of their life ... my points above and summary of what Iwata said show Nintendo does not see WiiU at the end of its life.
