Rayman Origins sold at least 2.5 million according to VGChartz. That's not too bad for a franchise that used to be dead on the water for a long period of time!

True, but majority of Oriigns' sales came in its second and third year, probably when it was quite cheap. So I'd question its profitability. 

i dont think a full month past till it had its first price drop. BUT on the flip side we have to remember that it was supposed to be a DL title. So how much could it have really cost to produce.
