If Nintendo really does VR, then they are done for. Enough with the expensive niche products.

They will do it.. been working on it last many years..

(and wii-u IS a vr machine.. bird demo, street view app..  All they have to do is making a headset. mayby with better gyro and motion.. but they allready has the tech..... wireless low lag gyro controlled external screen)

ont: i have been thinking the same.. could it be vr.. but the non-wearable says it not.. and like statet (many times last 2 years) Wii-U is made for it.. Wii-R (VR)

Looking at the Wii U controller it's not hard to imagine how it could be redesigned into a VR head set, but it's only 480p at 60FPS, it would need to use the same image for each eye to stay at 60 FPS & the screen would need to be rotated and "stretched" to simulate an HD look with 480(stretched)x800, not unlike the Oculus DK1, but not in 3D unless it went to 30FPS which isn't good for VR.

It could be done, & for cheap ($100-$140), but it would be the worst modern VR headset behind Morpheous & Oculus, but it still may be a good move to generate interest in the Wii U, but that would be seperate from the QOL platform, imo.

Nice you understand.. many do not

But it's not sure it will be only 480p.. mayby 960p (nintendo did say wii-u supports 2 upads) and mayby the wii-u can send more rez to an other screen.. even if the current external screen only is 480p.. i know alots of "if" but i know i can't wait for e3 :)
