Its not as if the hardware will be magically faster. It's just as some say that MS probably released the console before it was ready and once they have DX12 ready, it will "feel" faster because now it's optimized. The secret sauce is like an athlete who is already finely tuned and now was given steroids to perform even better. The athlete didn't get a different body - they have the same - just now with extra secret sauce. At least that's my understanding of what they are trying to say... and just like last gen, the games do in fact get better. So even if xbox hardware will never equal PS4 spec wise... if they can optimize to get consistently 1080p/60fps then effectively it is all that matters.
