Just started downloading Ground Zeroes on PSN, super excited to play my fancy short game or long and expensive demo.

**UPDATE**

I just finished the main campaign. It's pretty decent, it feels more like a pre-release DLC than a demo. I took my time when playing it through without any rush, I finished in two hours-seventeen minutes and I'm at 10% completion ratio. I think they showed too much before the release: the story was a bit of a letdown because there's very little more than what was previously shown,I also felt as if I already knew camp omega.

About voice acting, some characters sound a bit different than in previous games: I even thought that they had changed the voice actor for Huey until I saw Christopher Randolph in the credits. Keifer sounds fine, I think his strong moments are when Snake gets mad and shouts, but when he whispers like when talking to hostages he sounds so ridiculous that it's even comical, most of the time he sounds fine, however I just didn't see the payoff for using a much more expensive actor and sacrificing the consistency with previous MGS games in regards to the protagonist's voice.

Moving on to some gameplay and technical aspects, I wish that I was able to play in hard mode the first time, but the game forces you to play in normal, hard mode is unlocked when you finish the main mission. The AI is as dumb as can be expected from an MGS game (which made me feel at home), they behave a little better in alert mode. The graphics are awesome (at least on PS4) and it really benefits from the 60fps refresh rate which felt steady at all times.

The mobile app is also pretty cool and allows you to see the enemies positions live, it even responds to the movements of the camera and the right analog stick and it also lets you call the chopper or play audios without having to enter in-game menus.

In conclusion, Ground Zeroes manages to capture the essence of the MGS universe and portray it in a very different way than other games from the series, the main game is short but it has a lot of replay value. I set my expectations low after the negativity the game received because of its length and price, and I don't feel as if I was being scammed. So if you're not sure about paying $30 for a game this short, maybe the last gen version is the right one for you.
