Boy...I must be really missing something about X. Every time I see that game it just reminds me of Monster Hunter, and that definitely wasn't my cup of tea. I really wish Nintendo released more games like Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank. As much as I love Nintendo, the PS2 era really raised the bar for 3D platformers. I might even me a PS3 or PS4 owner if Sony had continued the love in that direction. Doesn't it suck when your genre of choice falls out of favor?

I guess I'm mostly waiting for SSB, but I wouldn't say I'm excited about it. Same can be said for MK8. I know it will be good and I'll play it a ton with my friends, but it won't give me a sense of wonder...hopefully I'll be wrong.

Truly, the game I'm most looking forward to comes out March 18, just 11 days away:

Ballpoint Universe!

That game just looks amazing...and it puts you both in a brand new place, as well as one we've all known as a kid with our doodles during class.

I remember when I longed for the return of the 2D Platformer, and that day came. The results of course have been amazing, though the glut in the market is becoming apparent. So now I'd say I'm craving that wonderful genre pioneered by games such as SM64 and Ocarina of Time and continued by Naughty Dog and Insomniac. Take me to a magical place where just jumping around, grabbing ledges, and exploring is a joyful experience.
