A good sign.

That they will sell better prototypes?

That there is demand. From both Devs and consumers.

They have sold 50k devices, not bad for sure, but until they finally launch a comercial version we won't know how big is the demand.

And if they keep delaying it, someone else may launch a comparable device earlier and blow them out of the market.

Havent sony already got one ready?

they have had them for years.  http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=sony%20hmz

but yes they have a new one coming aimed at PS4 I believe.

This is one of those products that maufacturers think people want... but the vast majority dont want imo.

that depends on its specification, and if they allow it to work on more than just the PS4.

If, for example, it had a higher resolution than oculus but would work when connected to a PC, and was more comfortable than oculus (trust me, its not comfy after 20 minutes), then I could see it doing quite well.

As far as addon devices go, personal HMD vr is far more interesting to me than ps move, wiimote and kinect.
