a few things the ps4 is still supplly constrained.

define dropped off a cliff? have you looked at the wii's sales in 2007? have you looked how many were in Japan? have a look at a comparison of the sales. 

Did you look at NPD ps4 was the best selling version of quite a few of the top ten software

So without Japan the ps4 is about 125,000 above what the wii did. Even if you take out most of the sales for the first weeks numbers, You can hardly call that dropping off a cliff. Not only that even without the million and a half sales the wii had in Japan by this point, the ps4 is still up by over 600,000
