Not really, because Sony is a sick financial company, everyone was expecting at least that in the financial world.

What does matter.... is what they are doing to try and dig out of that hole.

 

Which, is quite a bit that looks pretty good, like spinning off their ailing tv buisness and other cash sinkholes.

 

If I were an analyst i'd upgrade Sony from a sell to a hold. 

Though i'd be wary of abenomics.

So its not bad that they went from projecting a profit to now projecting a billion dollar lose.   That sounds bad to me

As far as I know they never projected a profit for this year.

They projected 1.1 billion loss...

then didn't alter that projection even after the profitable quarter.

I cant post the link right now but they went from projecting a 30bill yen profit to the $1.1bill loss
