It is silly for people to think this is some kind of low or anything. This is not isolated to MS since I know a few companies including my own that use YT for advertising. The reason why is because of millions of people view videos and advertisements on the site. For a business as big as MS, Sony and Nintendo, you would guess they all would be hitting popular YT people to do ads.
Marketing is about getting your product exposure and hitting your target market. Sometimes I do wonder what world a lot of people live in. I do not know how many people I have seen talk about Doritos and Mountain Dew in the same breath as the 360 or X1. Sounds like pretty good marketing strategy if you ask me.
